Module of the Month: Severe Weather Preparedness

Severe weather can happen at any time. Ensure your employees know the policies and procedures to keep themselves and your customers safe in the event of a severe weather event – with training on severe weather readiness.

Contact your Account Manager or a member of the RTO Account Management team to have this module added to your training network.

5 Effective OJT Strategies

Mentoring. The strategy of mentoring focuses on growing an employee’s overall skill set, fostering a positive attitude, and setting the employee up for success in general, not with just a specific task.

Coaching. The role of a coach is to ensure employees have the information, skills, and support they need to complete a task or set of tasks.

Job Shadowing. There are elements of both mentoring and coaching for employees who are put in the role of having another employee shadow them. In addition to teaching valuable job skills, this strategy can promote the culture of the company and foster teamwork.

Career Development. The role of a coach is to ensure employees have the information, skills, and support they need to complete a task or set of tasks.

Solid Follow-up. As a manager of learning, trainers have a responsibility to track on-the-job training efforts and record them as part of an employee’s overall training plan. Incorporating the use of our OJT and Manager Sign-offs will allow your trainers to integrate on-the-job-training with your online training curriculum.

ACA Module Deactivation

 Due to 2015 regulatory changes in the Affordable Care Act, we have updated our training module to reflect these changes.

On April 4, 2015 the Affordable Care Act module was deactivated and replaced with the new ACA Health Insurance Marketplace module.

All eligible employees will be automatically assigned the updated module. If you are not currently using the Affordable Care Act training module, please disregard this notice.

Alcohol & Tobacco Responsible Sales Module Changes

In an effort to maintain the highest possible compliance standards, effective June 1st, some changes were made to the RTO Alcohol & Tobacco training modules. The changes included updated information on acceptable identification documents.
