Basics of Handwashing

Module Overview



“Preventing the spread of illness starts with employees who know how and when to wash their hands.”

In this module, employees learn the five steps to properly wash their hands in compliance with the FDA Food Code. Employees also learn when they must wash their hands throughout their shift.

This module is also available as “Basics of Handwashing and Glove Use,” which includes additional information on glove use guidelines as well as when employees must wash their hands and change their gloves.
